The Reaver is not a new weapon to our guild. However, the way they are now apart of us varies greatly to what they once were.
Your first Reaver is obtained when your 25th level. Its something Sir Kraggenskul (our guild npc) speaks alot about. Simply 'request reaver' from him. You'll notice when you first get it, its a skull. Have no fear, for within you is the ability to command it into a weapon. Simply 'invoke reaver'.
The unholy reaver is the first one you get. Its a good fighting weapon, although because we are not able to drop the reaver, repairing it once it gets damaged can be a bit of a hassle. It does not however take much in general.smithing.weapon to have the skill to fix it.
A new reaver then can be obtained at the following levels:
50 - Reaver of Darkness. Reaver help will tell you a few things about this Reaver
150 - Elite Reaver. Now you have the ability to 'study reaver'. You'll notice that there is now some additional information about the reaver. Number of beheaded corpses, is important, and will be explained a little further down. This will also show you your alignment bonus to your massacre as well as your massacre rating. Again 'reaver help' can give you some insight as well. You'll also notice that both in its skull form (dismiss reaver) and weapon form (invoke reaver) the weight is lighter than the first two. For you to obtain the next Reaver, you must 'behead' 1,000 corpses. The reaver will keep count of this, so it is not necessary for you to carry these 1,000 heads (thank goodness for that right). Once you have beheaded 1,000 corpses, you take the reaver to the desacrated chapel, which lies just above the Occultist guild, and make the offering. Once you have done this, return to Sir Kraggenskul and present the reaver. You have now sucessfully obtained the next one. (NOTE: It is very important at this stage that you keep your Reaver in good repair. It is possible for it to break, and if that does happen to you, relax, breathe. Go to Sir Kraggenskul, and repeat the 'request reaver' then simply present it for the next one, and again for the Elite. You will have lost the heads however that you had collected, and must again start from 0. So keep your weapon in good shape
225 - Demon Reaver. This is the reaver you will have until you finally start on the quest for your final Reaver. You'll no doubt be excited by this point. This reaver grants you the addiontal ability to have a demon meld with it for a short period of time. Making this weapon one of the strongest and deadliest around. Luckily for us, our Final Reavers also have that 'demon meld' ability.
Once you have reached level 350, and feel you are up to it, merely speak the name of the Final Reaver path you wish to follow, in Sir Kraggenskuls presence. He will then give you the first hint to start you off on your journey.
Each Reaver is intricatly tied into one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalyspe. War, Death, Pestilence and Fear.
I know there are some who would gladly give away Quest Information. However, I cannot stress to you enough the need for each Dark Knight to do their best to solve the Quest on their own. Each was very thought out fully, and bug tested to help solve and melt away any remaining rough edges. I am not against one Knight helping another, giving an addiontal hint, however, I would be very displeased if one just spoke everything and the Quest became merely a "run from a to b, do blah". Which sadly is what tends to happen. Be forwarned however, that it is possible to accidently "cross" Quests. For example, while you are on your mission to uncover something for the War Reaver, you may accidently run across something for the Pestilence Reaver. This can get confusing, but there is help availible. You can either ask one of the Knights (if one happens to be on, and be one of your Reaver choice) for a clarification, or feel free to come to Ariel or myself (GM).
